noa and ross were Born and raised on the same island in hawaii, but it took a casual facebook conversation on Halloween night for the pair to eventually meet -- 5,000 miles away from home on a different island...... Manhattan.
"Hey, I just moved to New York and saw that you're also from Hawaii... would you want to grab coffee sometime...?"
"I don't do coffee. I do drinks."

out of intrigue, OR sheer boredom, noa took ross up on his suggestion to meet that week at one of his favorite dive bars IN NYC, the rusty knot.
after chatting, laughing (and drinking $2 beers) for hours, noa and ross closed the bar down.
they were dating by the weekend.
THE ODD COUPLE
noa grew up in the rural country on the north shore of O'AHU
ross grew up in the suburbs on the east side of o'ahu
noa was a book worm and senior class president of iolani school
ross threw parties and played varsity sports at punahou; iolani's rival high school
noa is an old soul trapped in a young(er) body
ross is forever young trapped in a (technically) older body
noa enjoys cleaning and quiet nights in
ross does not enjoy cleaning
After a year and a half of dating (and schlepping across town with overnight bags), Noa finally moved in with Ross, who was living near Gramercy with his best friend, Alicianne.
The three Hawaii transplants led a colorfully unorthodox life that was wholesome enough for NBC, yet offensive enough for Bravo.
Following the season finale of "three's Company", noa and ross moved into a modern building with semi modern dreams...
It was the BEGINNING of summer when ross accompanied noa on a "work trip" to paris...
one night, on the way to dinner, noa got down on one knee in the middle of the street in saint-Germain-des-Prés and asked ross to marry him...
baffled and bewildered, ross said, "YES!"
moments later, four of ross' best friends, from different chapters of his life, emerged from the restaurant with dirty martinis in hand!
